Philadelphia Independence Launches New Team Independence
Youth Development Program
Exclusive Women’s Pro Team Youth Development and Club Affiliate Programs Are Built For Area Youth, Teams, and Clubs!!!
The Philadelphia Independence is proud to announce the introduction of its new Team Independence Youth Development Program and Club Affiliate Program, marking the emergence of one of the most comprehensive soccer youth systems in the United States. The Team Independence Youth Development Program is a multi-faceted system that gives Delaware Valley region players and teams the best opportunity for top performance in their sport. Team Independence, an important and integrated business directorate within the Philadelphia Independence women’s pro soccer team, is developing what will be a vast network of boys and girls teams, camps, clinics, and training services. “By continually refining and building this pro team component, and strengthening it with professional team resources,” says General Manager Terry Foley, “we have created a Team Independence Youth Development Program that is unparalleled and will become the industry standard for performance excellence in the world of soccer youth development.”
The Team Independence Youth Development Program, under the leadership of Philadelphia Independence pro team personnel provides male and female players with stepping-stones to achieve the highest level of soccer learning and success. Team Independence coaches and trainers possess a distinctive wealth of knowledge and experience at every level of soccer. In addition to individual expertise and acclaim, youth development coaches are equipped with high-quality, standardized Independence curricula for all activities to maximize player understanding, fitness, soccer technique, and success. Within the new youth development model, training programs challenge players technically, physically, and psychologically in an environment conducive to learning, competition, and fun. The program also offers a variety of diet, nutrition, fitness, conditioning, speed, agility, and general wellness training through the Team Independence Center For Sports Excellence.
In addition to providing high level soccer training, the Independence has strengthened the soccer community in the Philadelphia region by developing great relationships between the professional team and surrounding clubs. The creation of both the Club Affiliate and Independence Membership programs invite local clubs to be directly connected and involved with pro team activities and success. According to Kelly Rowland, Director of Outreach for the Independence, “the Affiliate program is a free association with our organization that allows local clubs to truly take advantage of having a Women’s Professional Soccer team in Philadelphia. The Membership program provides terrific inside access to the pro team Independence while also offering ticket packages, camp discounts, and much more. These programs will be of great value to local teams and players and will benefit area clubs on multiple levels.”
